*****Question About Activating Cheats then Saving*****

Okay, now I've been playing GTA Vice City since the very day it was released to the public and I've been using cheat codes from the very day after that, constantly. Health, Armor, Weapons, Cars, Lower Wanted Level, etc. and I've been saving after every mission. Not once have I had any problems or weird side effects. Today I got a new PS2 and upon playing Vice City, completing a mission (using several cheats), I attempted to save and it gives me the message, One or more cheats have been activated and it's not recommended that you save. What's the deal ? Has anyone else gotten this message ? If so, has it affected your game at all ?? Good or Bad ??

well...
i got the same messege when i tried your problem
i tried using cheats and save
well i didn't find any sideeffects
just that you are called a cheater after you save
so it's not a good thing
and you CAN"T get 100% of the game either
so it's mostly like the game's fun that is ruined

yah I had the message...but it only appears for some cheats...they exclude armour health and all weapon codes...anything else and this message always pops up

when that message comes up it messes your saved game up, it messed my cousins memory card up so much he had to buy a new one, simple way to it the hard way and dont cheat!!!!

damn dan da man, that is not the answer i was looking for. now i'm really disappointed. i've come so far in the game and having to do it all over again is major b.s. i don't understand why i never got the message before, until now. i guess it must have something to do with getting a new ps2 system. maybe that's why i've always heard people getting this message but i never got it myself, maybe my old original ps2 is slightly different than the new ones. goddamnit, if i knew this was going to happen, i would've just sent my broken ps2 in to be fixed. now i'm screwed because it's history. i am really dreading doing a lot of those missions over again, several of them that i managed to pass were probably more based on luck than skill. oh man oh man oh man this certainly does suck!
