things long since finished - FFXI Manual - SHODAN
I finished this a while ago, but have decided to post it as i'm happy its finished.
For my FFXI project, I decided to make a 6 (8 including the cover, which isn't here) page manual, giving a taster of whats to come in FFXI, and to show my ideas about Manual layout. Thats all I need to say really. The titles say the rest... enjoy (they're not too large - 400-600 KB) - Page 1 - Contents Page - - Page 2 - An Introduction to FFXI - - Page 3 - Prolouge - - Page 4 - Character Classes - Pictomancer - - Page 5 - Credits - - Page 6 - Kingdom Hearts Advert - This requires a bit more explanation. I did this one day... a very very long time ago (check the top right of the pic 04-02-01 - I even spell "the_artist" with Capitals ) The Disembodied head in the picture is SHODAN. I Forget what that stands for exactly, but SHODAN is an artifical intelligence in the System Shock series (similar to Deus Ex, and Warren Spector was a key figure for the original) SHODAN is a bit of an evil woman... She went Rogue, and transformed the crew of Space Station Citadel into a variety of nasty, and scary things, before you ("the Hacker") blow her up. She makes a reappearance in the Second SHOCK, as your Ally, but is pretty quick to stab you in the back. Her role is to taunt you - you can't touch her until the end, and she lovingly calls you her "Insect". In Short, she's a bit of a ***** ^_^ This picture is actually in Pencil (the land before Photoshop...) and it unfortuantly makes SHODAN look rather Masculine. - Not that this matters when you consider that "she" was in the floppy disk version of Shock1... before the wonders of CDs... SHODAN Edit: for comparrison, here's the offical SHODAN

I agree with Rei: the manual looks really professional and well done! You have a career for sure in making this kind of things! And yes, the moogles are cute!
And also, the drawing you posted looks amazing. That face looks a bit freaky and scary, but the cable-like designs are stunning! |

The work done for completing the manual is impressive!
And yeah, the drawing is amazing too, lots of complexity of details and the overall structure of the face looks great!
