Now that I finally got a scanner, I can scan some of my pics.

Anyway, this is a drawing I'd like to call "Eve". I submitted this to my college "Art & Literature" magazine, but it didn't make it.

(What happened was, this girl was a part of the staff and wanted me to submit something. She told me that every image/writing that is submitted gets in. Well...it ends up she was wrong. I received a letter saying my drawing didn't make it). Anyway, I was inspired by the gothic mangaka Mitsukazu, Mihara. I only used Prismacolor black marker, black ink pen, and some gray marker for some slight shadows. Hope you guys like it.

It's a shame it didn't make it, because it's a very graceful drawing. I like the girl's dress and her hair: it is so detailed!

This is really cool! The b/w make it look even better! Don't be disappointed if it didn't make it: it is a very nice drawing!

you can see some of the stroke lines on the dress, i think that gives the dress shape.

You put your passion for gothic lolitas in this work. Very tasteful choice for the dress, and I like the way you inked the whole thing

But you should ask why your drawing didn't make it, since they said it was going to be included in the magazine in any case. You should ask for explanations, I think.

It ends up the staff does actually choose which images gets selected and which ones don't. The girl that convinced me to submit a drawing had no idea what she was talking about.

I was actually very disappointed because if I had known, I would've done a much better drawing than this.

Thanks! This is just my character...not really my actual drawing style, but in order to fit the mood of the picture, I had to change my style.

I know there are a few flaws (majorly crooked face shape, eyes, and the left side of the dress) but it was just a fun and enjoyable drawing...and like Panuru said, I was able to express my love for the Gothloli style.

As i've said elsewhere, I really love the detail that you've lavished on certain bits of this picture, the hair and trim of the dress in particular... they complement the dark elements very well. In general, inking it all was a great idea, fitting the theme and looking great

Red, are you copying and pasting the url to an entirely new window?
