Sleepy time for PS2?
I was reading a PS2 magazine and there was an article on whether it is bad to hit the 'power' switch (on the back of the console) or if it was healthier to put it to 'sleep' while not using the console.
But just how does one put their PS2 to 'sleep'?! I know it does it when one first flicks on the 'Power' switch, the 'Reset/Standby' button fades red in and out; but how do I get it to do that when I just quit my game? The reason I would like to put it to 'sleep' is because the article was saying that its alright to hit the 'power' switch if you aren't going to be turning it on again soon; as constant power surges aren't the best for any electrical appliance. Putting it to 'sleep' is best if you know you'll be drawn to play a game soon enough. Which is usually my case. |

Just hold down the reset button for about 5-10 seconds, then your PS2 will enter its sleep mode.
