One HUGE problem

The other day one of my grandparents called my dad and told him that they saw a program on television about GTA: Vice City. They said that the program was all about how bad the game was and that it had rape, murder, sex, drugs, and stealing cars in it. My parents then said that they were about to get me the game for Christmas, but were glad my grandparents called and warned them about it. Not only am i probably not going to get Vice City, but i also had Dead To Rights on my list and my parents decided to wise up and started looking for the rating of the game and are all of the sudden not buying me Mature games. I already have like 15 mature games like Perfect Dark and Conkers Bad Fur Day, but now they arent going to buy mature games anymore. I tried to convince them that i am far mature enough to play them (im 14 years old for F***** sake), but they wont listen. Im going to have buy Vice City and Dead to Rights with what little money i have, and hope they dont go looking through my games. I am so screwed.

I wouldn't buy the game on my own if I were you, you'll just lose even more of they're trust if they find out, try to explain to them why you want the game and why you feel you are mature enough for it. Try getting a rental of it to show them whats it like, dont lie to them. If they decide not to get it, I would leavi it at that, but youi wouldnt miss out too much on Vice, it bores you at after all the missions are done.

it's just a game. when i first played GTA3 i didnt want to go out and steal a car. or take a bat and beat the crap out of a old lady. i just wanted to play the game. alot of people take this game too seriously. as long as you know this game is just fantasy and not real. i dont see why your parent's shouldnt have a problem.

I tried and tried and tried to reason with them, but they didnt seem to let up and i thought that this would be the worst Christmas ever, but last night my mom came up to me and told me that they decided to get me the game and they trusted me to not go out and shoot anybody or steal any cars. My suffering has ended.

It's Vice City time, Hoooo Yaaaahhhh!!!!

that does suck, just rent it go to a mission(like rc bandits) and just show them the clean missions,if you get it and they see it you may lose your whole system not just the gamefrust:

Thumbs down

I though it was the end of the world when I couldn't get VICE CITY the first day it came out even though I had it booked,my parents were on holidays and I live too far away to walk. But now I realise how much of a bunch of CRAP it is,ROCKSTAR made simple mistakes even my 4 year old brother spots out,the had a whole year to work on it for **** sake. They should get a bunch of teenagers in and tell them where they went wrong so it doesn't happen the next game SIN CITY. Or I don't think anyone will buy GTA's after that.

what do u mean? like few police chases?

if they say bad stuff about games then they should do the same for films! they dont go on tv and say o this films got all this bad stuff in. cause , well stations want viewers so they just find something else to pick at. ive played most gtas and i dont go out and hold up shops and steal cars. ive never heard of any1 whos gone around and done the vc thing.

TIP: Buy GTA3. Not GTA:VC. Since GTA:VC is just a rehash of GTA3, I'd go with the first. Just my opinion, though

It would also make more sense because it's cheaper than GTA:VC now...so it would save ya' money.
