Wolf's Rain
Has anyone heard of this show?
It's a new series that's still airing in Japan presently (up to episode six) by most of the same crew that worked on Cowboy Bebop. I've seen the first five and it's pretty good so far. You can check out the site here . . . https://www.wolfs-rain.com/ but you need Japanese language support and the ability to read in that language as well. |

Aaah! I can't wait to see this! I just ordered the first 5 episodes myself! The company is BONES and they're extremely popular in Japan because of Bebop.
Reid, how is it? I know it has to do something with wolves and...well..that's about it, really.

It's pretty good but just don't expect something the same as Bebop.
The story seems to have a lot more structure and a deeper plot that will take a lot of time to unfold. The characters are great and very colourful but I don't want to give away anything about them because I think you might get more enjoyment out of seeing the first episode if you don't have any knowledge about the plot when you get into it. The music is also quite good . . . by Yoko Kanno and . . . hmm . . . I guess that's all I'll say until after you see it for yourself. |

Thanks for the information, Reid. Yeah, I read about Wolf's Rain in Animage and Newtype about....4 months ago and ever since then, I've been trying to find out about this anime. I hope I'll like it!

I usually never hear anything about this stuff until it's mentioned on TV.

Well, I saw the first 3 episodes as of right now and I love it! Reid, like you said, this story has a deeper plot that will need a lot of time to get clearer answers. Oh, but so far, it's a terrific new anime...
The animation is so nice! And the whole color scheme they did is dark and calm..like Bebop, but not as moody. The characters have their own unique personality and together, they can work extremely well with each other. So far, I really like Hige and Toboete (I forgot his name ). I like the whole unique idea about these four characters being Spoiler: show The music is great too. The person who sang the opening theme is Steve Conte and he also sang a few songs for Bebop ("Call Me, Call Me" for one). The woman who sang the ending song is Sakamoto, Maaya...isn't she the one who sang the opening to Cardcaptor Sakura? Well anyway, the music is nice and fits quite well with this series. I can't wait to see more!
