I can't give any type of a description because I've only seen the first 3 episodes. (adult swim) The best I can do is copy and paste this little bit from ANN.

Anyways.... judging from the 1st 3 episodes, I can only say that it's an average anime. Other than visuals, it's not really doing much to impress me at all. I'm trying to stick with it, but my patience for it is sadly decreasing. What are your thoughts about it so far? I'm probably the only one feeling this way.

ive been following this series for awhile now and i think its a pretty kick ass series, its the best anime to come out last year imo. its got the flavor and attitude of FLCL, mixed with the intense mecha action of Macross Plus, and the epic and mysterious storytelling of Evangelion.

the story starts out pretty slow with some light hearted comedy bits, but the series picks up around episode 10. i would recommend you stick with it, its a really well made anime.

I don't know if I have the patience to wait for episode 10.... ^^, but we'll see. And a minor problem.... FLCL and Evangelion are animes I don't like =D. (Yes, I know I have no taste. I don't care for comedy too much nowdays, so nay for FLCL, and I have issues with the characters in EVA.... so.... ) And I've never seen Macross.... But I hopefully I can stick it out. (I will admit it now, I have like a 5 - 15 minute attention span...)

You and me both. FLCL was just too much for me to handle and while I liked Evangelion and respect it for what it is, I couldn't stand the characters except for Rei. No offense to fans of both series, honest.
