Status of GTA3 in Australia

Just a little GTA news for you. GTA3 is being re released in Australia after being toned down. All they did was remove 7 seconds of footage. So I guess the actual game play is the same. Good news for Aussies.

Do the aussies get the games even later than the Uk ?!
I thought we were the last to get all of the games

I wonder what 7 seconds of a game could make this much trouble?! So far what I've played, I haven't seen 7 seconds of video that's THAT inappropriate.

Although, the Austrialian media must need something to talk about other than their dingos

Part of the realtime rendered scenes that were edited out was when Misty asked Joey "When are ya gonna drill me?" during one of his mission briefings.

I don't have the Australian version of the game, this is just something I gleaned from forum browsing.

Slightly off-topic: Y'all know that bit on Chatterbox about the Australian-american war? Do you think THAT's what the aussies were really pissed about? ^_^
