Any chance of a bit more feedback though S4H? What, for you, made it a 'renter' rather than a 'keeper'? - S

Oh...sorry...
Well the gameplay is great. It's so great wippin around your enemies and slicing them in the back. Or running along the walls throwing shurikens or darts or whatever he's chuckin at em. Decent graphics although the environment of the levels seem a bit plain. The CG's are very cool as well. There is one major problem I have with the game however...there are no checkpoints...so when you die, you start at the beginning of the level. So you could be at the end of one of the hardest levels and you accidently fall from a cliff...boom your right back at the beginning. Also the games a bit short. So i'd rent it because it won't take you more than a week if you play it enough. However I find myself replaying the beginning levels because its just so great being a ninja...(I go back because at those levels I'm able to dish out a real whooping while at the level I'm currently at I get my ass whooped) So I suppose there is replay value to it. All in all I don't think it's worth $50 but hey...it's out of your wallet so do what you want...

S4H, so it seems they kept the really annoying 'restart level' feature from the original - that's kinda disappointing. But thanks for the info - although EB (in the UK anyway) let you return a game for any reason before 10 days, I think I'll defo rent it first now.
Cheers bud, - S

It's sad to hear that the game is not as awsome as I thought it would be
But I'll listen to goodman, yes sir Hey S4H, wanna sell it to me for half the price?

But Shinobi is a type of game, that'll remind you of old beat em up (No, not saying because its a remake) but its repetitive....slashing, slashing, slashing............and then finally some.......no, .....again, slashing. Still I think its the far most better Ninja game till now on Ps2 (Untill Tenchu 3 enters the Market).

This game looks like a pretty good game for action fans. But from looking ta it i think that i'd get bored of it after a while, and the graphics look low quality. I'd rent it.

I just picked up this game and . . . I think it's incredible in how fun it can be, but also how hard it can be as well.
The gameplay is awesome but it can frustrate you to no end in how challenging it can be. |
