Music Suggestion Thread

This is basically what the title says.
somebody suggests a band and the next person goes to check them out. when you come back rate them and write a small review about them if you want. basically this is just finding out everybody's musical taste. now i'll suggest a band or twp. you can list as many bands as you want but better to make it 4 or less per post.

band=boy sets fire
songs=release the dogs,last years nest,high wire escape artist

songs=(i hate) everything about you,home,burn,just like you

Hey This thread should be all types of music! Please be open to other ppl's likes! I like all music from Mozart to Korn and yes theres rap inbetween so I would like to get all different kinds of music to d/l and check out, not just rock! Ok!

Atho unfortunatly I cant d/l anything right now so will have to wait, also a little suggestion, to put what type of music it is that your suggesting.

ok will hopefully be able to d/l someones suggestions soon!

I'm no music expert so my reviews arent really in deapth per say

i also dont have kazza or winmx but thankfully i have other methods of finding music

pretty good i like them one step away was my favorite out of those 3 songs. they remind me of other bands but yeah this band is good i like them

When i heard fly from the inside i thought this was going to be another. "scream at the top of your lungs" kinda band but when i listened to 45 my opinion changed. good band SSSnake

Well please label if you are going to list something besides rock then. I don't wanna be downloading worthless music.

Ok lets get to Beretta's

Boy Sets Fire - 8/10: I like this band very much. I got a demo of them before they were popular and absolutely fell in love with there sound. Everything of theres is fresh and sounds great.

3 Days Grace - 8/10: Another one of those bands reaching out to something different. They are slighty original in there style of playing and I appreciate it. They really might have something big going.

PulseUltra - 7/10: Good but not as good as the others. I never heard of these guys before Beretta mentioned them. Good solid rock music non the less. Probably going to buy there CD too.

Earshot - 6/10: Even though I am a fan of there stuff it just doesn't grip me as much as other music. They are a very solid rock band and I can't say that they have any real bad songs, they just don't hit me as hard as other bands.

Smile empty soul: bottom of a bottle (sorry the rest of the cd aint that great.. but this song rocks) Kindof like a chevelle softer rock...

A perfect circle: Weak and powerless, Judith(older but good nonetheless) and Blue. Maynard James Keenans'(lead singer of tool) other band, kindof like what tool would be w/out extremely hard music... good lyrics and good zoning music. Their new cd is The Thirteenth Step... Check it out if you can!

Korn: Did my time: Sure you've prolly all heard this.. but just on the chance that someone hasn't heard it yet.. its a great Korn song.. and even better live

If you dont know what kind of music Korn is i pitty you.

Marilyn Manson: (s)aint: I know you're all prolly thinking "eww manson sucks!" but this is a pretty kick ass song.. besides the fact that i really like manson.. but thats me.. this song should be a song that anyone could like... but then again.. i am a different individual. Manson is a heavier rock w/ a lyrically offensive style.. but nothing too bad in this song... i think.

Man I love this band. There another Canadian band that are doing quite well. I can't believe you didn't put "First Time" down as one of your songs.

band: The Exies 7/10
I like the sound but they fail to really capture me with there songs. I don't know maybe I'll have to listen to the music some more until I really like them

band: ra 10/10
Ra is the shit, 7 String band at its finest. There not one band song on there CD From One. Can't get enough of them. Fav's of the CD are definately, Rectifier, Do You Call My Name, Sky.

band: lifehouse 9/10
When I wanna mellow out and listen to something very beautiful and soothing I would pick out these guys. Both there Albums No Name Face and Stanely Climbfall are excellent. Definately anyone looking for a softer, acoustic style rock band should check them out.

Rhapsody is heavy metal a la Iron Maiden, but they play and blend with a lot of classical instruments such as violin, flute, etc...

They're from Finland. It's currently my favorite band, before this band, Queen was :B

Everyone should be able to suggest whatever they want but of course explaining what kind of music it is

Hey man, may I know which kind of software do you use to download your music? I highly suggest you use either Kazaa or Direct Connect, preferrably Direct Connect, since you can direclty connect to Finnish and Swedish hubs in which is real easy to find songs from this band.

Also....I just saw the tail end of a music video that had Carlos Santana in it with some kid singing. The Chorus was something like :

"So, why dont you and I get together.....blah blah blah blah....Heaven...Cuz without you theyre never gonna let me in"

I just wondered who the kid is . Anyone know ?
