FATT47 is on a distinguished road
I rented GT4 this weekend and just the.......

fact that any place around me even had it to rent was a miracle in its self, so I figured as long as the Ghost Recon 2 disc I had ended up being defective (that totally bummed me out) causing me to have to take it back last week I figured I'd give GT4 a spin for a few days and see what it looked like.

I doubt if any gamer didn't know in advance that GT4 would be a good game and show some awesome graphics and content so that wasn't what had my curiosity.
I wanted to see what the Logitech Pro wheel felt like with this game and if the driving feel of the game improved any over the last versions.

The game is great lookin IMO, the graphics are tight, the driving feel is much improved IMO.

The thing that has me a little shocked is I didn't really like the feel of my wheel for the most part as I went deeper into the game?
It seemed to be not as responsive as I thought it would be, being the fact that I was renting the game and wouldn't have a bunch of time to play with it I only did the driving license fazes of the game, I figured those would let me look and try alot of cars and see a bunch of the tracks.

I finished all four of the first license categories the first night and next day even though I was scratchin my head about the wheel.
I got to about the 5th test in the S group of licenses on the first night and next day, then on my last day with about 11 of those tests to go I just couldn't get close on any of em and I began to think it was partly because of the wheel just not responding fast enough.
So, I did something I haven't done in a long long time, I put in my dualshock controller and went through the next 5 or 6 in no time, the cars drifted better, they turned faster, the cars stopped and accelerated better, so to say the least I was shocked.
I don't know if I have my wheel setup wrong or what, I didn't think with GT4 there was much to calibrate but maybe there is?
I know my thumb isn't likin the dualshock after this weekend, that's why I had to have the wheel way back when.
The wheel responded way better in the ToCA game IMO

Anywho, the game is fun, but still I think a game like this with no damage where ya can bounce off of walls or bump a car out of your way and contention just creates bad driving habits, bad habits that give way to much slack for racin, not to good if ya want to be a good tactical racer and drive clean, IMO the GT4 scenario puts less reality into a game, but it is a game so gamers can use it how and to what ever level they want I guess.
Fun game for what it is, I may even rent it again for a few days just to see more.
