Chapter 1

Daylight. Its the ultimate way to feel safe and secure whne youre on your own. Or is it? Scott Roebuck worked as an average computer genius locked away in a shop with nothing else to waste his gift with but broken down, rust traps. Or so I thought. When I saw some of his work - his programs, his done-ups (the computers he liked converting to dream machines) and even his web page I immediatkey knew that this person was a literal genius. I introduced myself as Jules Houllier to him and offered him the chance of a lifetime. But he wouldnt accept it. He would prefer to sit in his shop fixing machines all day and writing software programs that nobody would ever see or use.

The chance he turned down was a much different life. Seeing his talents I could have imagined what he could ahve achieved if only he had accepted. All he had to do was work for my company - CSLI (one of the major computer companies of the world). But I knew why he wouldn't accept - he was a free radical in a sense. He rejected all big companies as slugs - slugs that consumed everything. But as he knows (to his own advantage) anybody, anywhere could put this "slug" out of buisness. The only thing you need is an idea, a great mind and the time to do great things. But if he wouldn't join nicely there were much more ways to "persuade" him considering his violent past. He had form for many different and varied crimes. His crimes could come back to haunt him if he doesn't make the right decision soon - so my message to Scott is - be warned...
