Tell me if u think this is unfair

my dad came home at 3 AM yesterday, and wanted to play some ps2, he bought my copy of SH2, however he wasnt interested in playing. He grabbed the game and started playing 'till 6 AM when I woke up i found my dad playing the game and he was already in the hospital area. He told me "This game shouldn't be played by kids under the age of 17, because im 40 years old, and it scared the crap outa me. I'm sure u get scared when u play this." so he just took it away, and he said he wasn't giving it back to me because it was too disturbing.

i think this is the biggest load of crap ever

Wel in the eyes of a kid that would be unfare... but you have to remember, he's your father and just wants whats best for you, ya know?

Or you could just nag him untill he gives the game back.. either or... lol!

Im not the one to argue my parent's judgement's on game. if they say you can play then it then by scott you wont be able to play it. but my parent's let me play alot of game's that have the mature rating. because i just know it's just a game. in your view its suck's i want my silent hill for your dad he just want's to protect you. or something i dont know how about them devener bronco's!?

i think it is a bit unfair, the best thing to do is find it and play SH2 when your dad is out the house, then u play the game and he dont know, but remeber to cover up your tracks.

It's just a game, but ask your dad to let you play it and if he says no just ask him to come watch you play it to show that it wont have a big effect on you as he'd imagine (btw games like that scare the shit outta me, I just can't realise its just a game

I think it was the cloud coverage, but that game didnt cut it, i sure hope SH3 is better!! Oh as far as your dad's viewpoint, if you wanna move out, feel free, im sure he is willing to let you do that! I'd do the same thing that mark0 suggested. When I wanted to rent MKDA my mom wouldn't let me because of the rating, but I got ot her. I told her what's wrong with the blood, It's not like I'm going to go around kiling people and then I told her if there was any game she should worry about me playing is BMX XXX.

Well first of all, I just wanna say you should be happy that your dads into video games, parents who have similar interests with thier childeren are rare. But as far as your situation goes, I think it is entirely unfair. How is something being scary going to effect anyone negatively (Cant possibly harm them psysically can it ?) . The worst it could do is maybe (Big Maybe) give you some nightmares. Id just use that argument , try reasoning with him. Say somehting like " The worst it could do is give me some nightmares, im willing to accept that, big deal". And if reason doesent work id say he probably just wants the game for himself tell he beats it, lol. I really hate the Silent Hill games (Level design and controlls are disgusting. Take everyhting good about RE away and hand it some poor visuals and thier ya go) Ahem anywyas.....just dont get too angry with him, its pretty damn cool he is into video games. Or of course he may just be an overptotective parent, thats fairly common, but then again you would know if he was or not eh ?
