In the begenning Vegeta thought that he was better than everyone, but as the series continued Vegeta realized that Goku is a formatable adversary, so he respects him

i remember in the world tour. saga vegeta is saying wot a weakling gohan has become and saying his power level went down since the cell games
but i think he respected him 4 saving his life from cell

Yes vegeta respects gohan becaues he is a good fighter,but he lost some of that respect do to what nanjij said when gohan was slacking off from his training
