1st HALO party

This weekend i went to my first HALO party. It was glorious. 8v8 is the magic number for insane chaotic capture the flag in Blood Gulch. We played 16 player HALO for 8hrs straight, aside from the 10min we spent eating pizza half way through. If anyone else has glorious LAN parties to tell of, this is the thread.

Yeah, Halo parties are always fun. Especially when you win

The weekend after Halo 2 is released im heading with some friends to Detroit where we will have about 50-60 ppl playing in a huge tourny. 1st prize team gets a copy of Halo 2 and customized t shirts with the team name on them commemorating thier win. Then the best indevidual gets a free x box.

Theres gonna be a couple kegs and a few live local bands preforming so its gaurenteed good times. I cant wait !

Yours truly has several... almost every weekend... and yes vicious.. it is great when you win

... the week of november 9th.. i already have a week of PAID!!! time off for the entire week.. Nov 8th--i am going to an Atreyu, Taking Back sunday, and funeral for a friend show.. from there.. to my local game shop to pick up my 3 copies of halo2... then playing till i fall into a comatose state.. then doing it all over again till that thurs/friday---all while getting paid

---then going to Toronto for the weekend to "enjoy" myself ... oo hell yes

Because you can only have 4 players max to a screen, so you need 4 machines and 4 copies of the same game because XBoxes don't work on magic?

I've never been to Halo LAN, but I've been to two two-night LAN parties with about 20 people. There was a 2v2 Q3 CTF tournie which I did better than I thought I would at... We played lots of different games... Counter Strike, Unreal Tournament, Homeworld, Total Anhiliation. That kind of thing. Was a while ago.
