American FFXI on a Euro PC?
When FFXI comes out in the states will it be possible for me to order and use it on my PC?
Do they have regional lock out? or would there be any point, seeing as the EU version wouldnt be out, there wouldnt be any EU servers surely, and US servers dont really like me sometimes .

hmm... a toughie. First Thing First: USA PC Games will work on a European PC, if not any PC he world over (wouldn't try it on a Japanese one though...) - I have a US version of Final Fantasy VII to prove this, and there is no regional lockout (the "reason" for the lockout on TV games consoles is that Euro, Japanese and US televisons work differently... or at least they did once... - hence the PC, GBA and any non TV games machines don't have a regional lockout.)
The real trouble is that FFXI is an online game, and you therefore have to register for it at some point. I can't give a definate "yes" or "no": On the plus side, I believe the early days of MMORPGs allowed European players to sign up for USA only games. The Minus side is that that was then: Those people who played the PS2 Japanese version of FFXI had to give Japanese adresses when signing up. This may mean that you have to register with a valid American Address. at this point i don't know, but it doesn't necessarily have to be your address. Of course, you could wait. I don't think the Euro PC version will be that much more of a wait: they'll be exactly the same game after all... it all depends on how the PC version fits in with the PS2 release (which is way, way away)

Btw, I would not be suprised if FFXI skips Europe for the PS2. A PC version is about 99% certain though.
