I havn't played the actual game yet though, but has finished the Demo (Which aren't always the best of quality) and still I loved every second of it.
The only way I can compare it to Vice City is, that GTA Vice City is way too much ARCADE for this genre, Sony has shown that games like these should be more realistic and true to life. I am not saying its better then Vice City but it certainly is more gruesome and on to the next level. Other then character Movement, everything else I really loved. The Jump out shoot, the taking of any person on the street as a sheild and then blowing their head if they act too smart. Hit the car too hard and you hurt yourself or die. And on the story side of the game, its excellent. I'll be getting this game coming Firday, I'll say more then.

This game looks pretty cool, but if you already have it, stick with Vice City.

You'll find my first impressions after playing the game thru the first 3 missions basically. IN that "review" I gave it a 7.5 out of 10 and said i expected it to get higher as i got further in the game and could experience more of it and give a more indepth review. About now I'd say I'd give it a 8.5/10 having played through mission 8 now (the only reason I'm not further is because I've been dividing the time between this game, Rygar, and like always NFS:HPII.) I'll add a more extensive and much more proper review once I've finished the game. If I could rate this game on coolness factor alone I would give it a 9.5 atleast. Too bad I can't do that. _RED_ stuff

Well I have had this game for some time, and last night got to play it some more. The controlls are a little quirky at first, but as you get further, its a little easier. Not the game however. There are a lot of cool elements such as stealth, preservation, and sense of direction. You will need a good head on your shoulders, and a lot of patience w/ camera angles. I am way to acustomed to GTA where you can look behind you and stuff while driving... That and it is a pain to get the view you want. This game is very good, and aside from these very little gripes it is a 8.5 to a 9.0 Really good game, carried by the story. Frustrating but fun. Maybe a rental for some people, but try it for sure. Don't give up too soon though
