SOCOM Messing Up?
Ever since Christmas... I have been unable to log into the server... For about 10 mins. I usually try, then it either says login failure, registration failure, or network failure!
Has this been happening to anybody else? |

It happens to my buddies recently. When we are chatting in Tony Hawk 4 online, they say that they cannot login to SOCOM network. Either takes 10-15 mins or never place a connection. So they have to stick with other online games for now...

Well maybe they're just really unlucky an devery time they wanna play is when the socom staff does their routine maintenance on the server.

Its been a problem because im hearing it a lot at another forum. I expect they should have most of the problems cleared up. Rumor is that since there have been many get it for Christmas, that the servers are much busier than normal. Good guess, because that is what used to happen with me on Everquest when it was busy...

Bottom line, too many people on one server*. It takes forever to log on and Its NOT worth the frustration or the time. Dont get me wrong I like the game alot but a man can only tolerate so much before he trades the game in at babbages for something that actually works. The way I see it SONY/Zipper need to do something in a hurry to salvage online gaming before all the spoiled little ten year olds with squeecky voices and absolutely no skill kill it. They should create a new server and have the new joiners play thier untill they rank high enough to graduate to the main server. Well it dont really matter what they do, just as long as they do something. Sony allready screwed up big with having the developers controll the online stuff, now its time for them to step up and make some changes (This new universal headset theyre coming out with is a start)

Its no coincidence that Sony took so long to come out with the ps2 online, its been in the back of their mind from the very start. They've been too busy suckering people with Everquest to care about ps2 online!!

Logging on to play SOCOM online was a real ***** after christmas until about a week ago. The reason was that a lot of people got the game for christmas and they overloaded the server. This made me angry and forced my friend to sell off his ps2 and get an xbox. (well actualy they wouldn't let him trade in his ps2 because it's dying. They did, however, give him a lot of money for some old games) But ever since they took out the player rankings things have gone smoothly for me. And I play during prime time hours.
Note: this isn't the real Weapon_xz84 but he was dumb enough to stay logged in at my house Note: The friend I talked about in this post was Weapon himself if you already didn't know that. What a traitor.
