Definitely! I played through the first one last year and thought it was pretty damn good (despite some flaws). Hopefully 2nd Runner will be much better this time around.

As for the demo: is this in the new OPM mag, or is it only available through another way (like in-store kiosks) ?

Oh, you'll finish in time. The first one is only about 5 hours. I hope so much that the second one is atleast 10-15 hours.

Yeah I did hear that the first one is way short, but you see I dont finish games at one sitting, I take days and weeks. And with College and Work, I hardly get time to play games, still I buy them..... So I hope I finish this one before 2nd Runner! Lets hope that I do!

It's nice to know there is someone else who takes time to beat games. I'll only get it after I've played the first one, but that won't be for a while. Does anyone have a release date for the game?

This game looks cool. I almost bought the first one a long time ago, but didnt for some reason. I didn't even rent it...what's wrong with me? Anyways...I think games like this need to be longer. 5 hours you say? Luckily, I don't tend to beat a game in only a few sittings no matter how long it is. I take my time, plus I think I may just be a little on the slow side beating things anyways because I like to take in the atmosphere and environments built into a game, rather than run through all the levels, if it were possible in a particular game. Anyway...I think replay value for a game like this should include more modes of play. Apparently, it's about mechs so why not have another mode besides the main story line in which to have whole areas where you can set up battles against computerized opponents in as many times as you want a la twisted metal style? MGS series is good cuz they have the VR missions. Little (or big) things like this help.

Red, there will be other modes..https://www.ps2fantasy.com/forums/ima...ons/icon14.gif

Quote:
got some info on ZOE 2, from gamefaqs..

Here they are:

Story Mode: About twice longer. There are Extra Files and hidden mechs can be found to unlock missions/mechs in both Extra Mode and Vesus Mode. The more you find, the more stuff you unlock. Battles are no longer one on one; player gets allies (AI controlled) in certain missions. Subweapons play much important roles in to game as well.

Training Mode: Well, it's just trainings. Same as the Training Sessions from the first game.

Versus Mode: 10 mechs to choose from. Unlock once player starts the Story Mode; however, more robots/stages will be unlocked as the player progresses. There is Anubis, so don't worry. Everyone will be able to use him if the story missions are completed. And about Vic Viper, it can transform into plane mode. Every mechswill has its own unique abilities in the Versus mode.

Extra mode: 150+ missions. Several modes: Zoradius (Vic Viper Plane mode mini-game), Boss Fight, Boss Sequence... etc. The more Extra Files found in the Story Mode, more missions unlock.

heres a pic of vic viper mini game, these extra missions are played by controlling "Vic Viper".
think "Gradius" on 3D.

I thought I'd get it because of Kojima, but I don't know about the whole mech thing.

Just played the demo that came with OPM. Ohmygod!! I've never had so much aesthetically awesome action thrown at me all at once on screen before in my life! (well i exxagerate a little but who cares....mwahahaha!) HUndreds of enemies fly at you in swarms of weird fighter jets that you can pummel with laser blasts and swat the hell out of like flies with your giant sword. All the explosions and lasers and special effects are beautiful to look at as everything is cel-shaded to give you the effect of an anime mech movie. Even the clouds of smoke are great to look at. The lasers light up the screen like mad and the weopon attacks unleashed on you are sick! This Anubis mech is scary as hell and the ominous music playing just befor you fight him is awe-inspiring. The story-line is intwerwoven beautifully with real hand drawn anime sequences. Whats not to love abou tthis game! I am gettting it! Excuse me for my babbling rant...
