Anime that you own
I was curious to know what anime you guys have actually bought.
I know many of you have watched plenty of anime, but some is bought and others are rented, right ? So, what I'd like to know is which anime titles you own, and on what format you have them on (VHS, DVD, VCDs, HD... and so on and so forth). I think some lists will be rather large and some may have too many to remember, but some names are better than nothing. Pictures would be great, but lists are good, too. |

CC, did you like the first ep. of Full Metal Panic? I think that show is hilarious. And it has good action and animation as well.

And Meryl, my Gosh, how much money didn you spend on anime! That's got to be a few thousand right there? I've been collecting for a little over two years now, and i've only had a job for a little over one year. Mine alone was expensive enough, but yours is astronomical. DEo you have a rough estimate of how much your anime worth is?

Well, i only own 2 anime dvds since there aren't good stores to buy anime dvds in. So i bought 2 incredibly expensive ones.
Arentosoma VOLUME 1 End of evangelion Those are the two. I also got a dvd player quite...lets say...like 5 months or so ago, and i became an anime fan sometime in that time. Thats why i dont own too many, i wished i did though...i need more anime! whatever. |

Well, i bought it thinking it was just some sort of fanservice humor, a wide range of "colorful" comedy composed by various directors and artists, each with it's own humorus style and wide range of genres of dirty comical episodes. But, it wasn't. After about 4 episodes i began getting very tired of watching it. The same old crap over and over, and after a while it wasn't even funny anymore. If you know someone who has it, then i suggest finding someone who owns it and borrowing it from them, because it's really not worth the money. I love potty humor, if it's done with the right japanese anime flare, btu this was not. It reminded me of those morons who you see at school who think that the word boobies is funny. All of it was the same, same jokes, same animation, same directors, same everything. It did make me laugh at first, pretty hard too, but then it just made me want to fall asleep. Someone like you probably wont like it, and usually i find everything at least a little bit amusing, but this was a pretty big waste of money. I do however, think that if i just watched a few episodes eevry day, that it would'nt be so bad, but i watched 14 out of the 16 all at once. But still, try renting it if you can. i guess i should really answer your initial question though, about what this is really about. Well, it's 16 short episodes about guys who love looking at girls panties. It shows about 8 thousand scenes of guys getting all excited when they all of the sudden, see a girls underskirt and bra. The expressions are quite funny, but it's still very dirty at times. And the idea of clean lanuage isn't existant in this show. They have all of the dirty words that you hear on HBO, and suprizing enough, they seemed to put in the "F" word in a lot. Kinda funny the way the slapped some of the words in there, but not enough to really make this worth while. That's the just of it all i guess.

X TV DVD full set imported (Because I don't believe in English dubs)
Dragonball Z DVD's (VERY expensive because you have to buy them individually) up to Android Series (Cell Saga isn't out yet) Spriggan Spirited Away Castle in the Sky Gundam Endless Waltz Hellsing complete (Japanese version) Only 3 DVD's... Such a short anime X: The Movie (Shouldn't have bought... The reason I bought the series) Princess Mononoke (Regret it) Vampire Hunter D, Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust Ninja Scroll Tokyo Babylon (Not as good as X... Really cheesy) I, My, Me! Strawberry Eggs (First and second DVD, good series) Rourouni Kenshin (Full series - Yes, it was expensive, no, I have yet to see it) Kenshin OVA 1, 2 and 3 (Dammed good OVA - much worth the purchase) Record of Lodoss War (I also had the VHS full series, but I sold it as it was no longer necessary) Akira special Edition Trigun Boxset (Pretty good... Not the best... But worth it) Get Backers (1st DVD - waiting for others) Naruto (1st DVD - waiting for others) Get Backers (Full on VCD's) Naruto (Full on VCD's) Naruto is ongoing so I will probably spend a lot of money collecting it... Get Backers has stopped at 36 ( At least Anime-Empire stopped fansubbing it at 36, and I don't think any others have released any more, so I'm wondering what's going on with that. I won't watch it from anyone other than Anime Empire) Spiral Full (It's alright... Kind of a bad ending, but the anime itself is good) Scryed Full (Damned good series) Note - 90% of my DVD's are Japanese... Anyone who knows me, knows that I hate English Dubs.
