I havent played EQOA or FF11, but FF11 looks better than EQOA by the graphics, FF11 graphics just look out of this world and simply AMAZING!

can't see anything :/ theres a lot missing from there as well: nothing at all about synthesis skills (the real "jobs" that allow you to be a cook, carpenter etc.)... as far as I was aware, having your own "shop" was limited to offering trades to other players for your items, either for gil or swaps. Not a bad system though, as if everyone in Vana'diel had a real shop (ie. a building) that'd be a bit too much for the world to have...

Edit: and the graphics for Everquest 2 probably look better than even the PC version of FFXI :/ but then, FFXI is technically a year old game anyway

Yea I didnt think about that, its been out in Japan along time now, and with EQ2 coming along on the pc, you dont know.

been doing a bit of FFXI research today, because i've got to fill a few gaps in my FFXI Packaging Project (need hand-drawn front and back cover designs so hopefully a can get A*s ... so i've decided to draw a few FFXI things)

Airship: Amongst Other things, I found some pretty pictures of the FFXI airship, in it's interior and exterior views. Looks like you'll be able to have a walk around while flying over the oceans etc. : https://www.ff-xi.com/ffxi/journals/1102journals.html - enititled ""Airship" and "Airship Again".

World Map: https://www.ffxionline.com/maps/main_map.jpg - Vana'diel is probably bigger than all the other FF worlds... all those location make it seem about the size of a small county to me... just with more oceans and stuff (note the "empty" islands - presumably they're for the expansions?)

if I find anything else, i'll post, but i'm trying to find a decent screenshot of Windurst...

I think I'll be wanting this game, but it just seems a big hassle with a 56k plus with buying the modem and monthly charges, argh.

WoW! artist, there some nice pics, I never seen FF11 screenshot in gameplay, quite impreesive, is this MMORPG going to be dial-up and broadband or just broadband?

it's being played on both right this moment in japan (and even the US and UK... you just need the right hardware and an extreme tolerence for Japanese characters) ... of course, broadband is infinatly preferable, but for some of us, it isn't possible :/
