Question How many do you own?

How many of you own more than a console here? Do you play all of them or are you mainly play one among them?

I only own a PS2 and a Gameboy Advance (the older Playstation is no more...), so I play Ps2 the most and Gameboy only when I'm not at home, also because I have few Gameboy games.

Well like many forums, in these forums you will notice that there are many members owning more then one console, if not all three. And thats one of the reasons "Other Consoles" is such a successful forum.

I myself own 11 consoles... well if I start from the beginning. I still have all of them in my room, some are just decoration pieces now (A Showcase). This is what I have got....

According to my purchases, 1.) being the first one bought.

1.) Conic
2.) Atari 2600
3.) Pegasus
4.) Nintendo
5.) Sega Mega Drive 2
6.) Playstation
7.) Playstation2
8.) Nintendo GameCube
9.) Xbox
10.) Gameboy Advance SP
11.) Sega DreamCast

I play PS2, GameCube, XBOX, DC the most and just like you, play GBA when I am outside, or at lunch at work. I still do play my Playstation, games like "Driver", "Metal Gear Solid, "Music Generator 2000".....

Aaah.. I love V.D.O Games.

I have all the Gameboys except the original Bricks, So Thats The GBPocket, GBColour, CBA and the GBA: SP. But the older ones are hidden somewhere. A NES, SNES and N64 too.

I've got my old Playstation, my PS2, a Gamecube, 3 Xbox's (seriously) 1 is NTSC (my first Xbox I bought in the US) and 2 PAL (My Dad bought them really for Halo System Link, Because Split Screen sucks)

I know that sounds like a lie, If my digi-cam didnt bugger up so much I'd probably post them up with all my games.

So thats 13 consoles all-together. All the old ones like the Mega-drive and Atari I havent seen in years so I guess they are gone.

I sold my older consoles as I have no use for them anymore.........Although I still have my N64.

Main systems are PS2 and Xbox.

I'm still a little unsure if I'll get a Cube or not. The only game I really want to play is Rogue Leader.

I am not a fan of Star Wars at all, but seriously that game is AMAZING (So glad that I bought that game), and especially this new one coming this fall. My jaw actually hit the ground when I saw the Video in the GameCube Demo that was released recently. Star Wars Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike is going to be excellent.

Atari *
NES *
Game Boy (Original one) *
SNES *
Sega
Gameboy (Pocket)
PSX *
Sega Saturn
PS2 *
Game Cube *
X-Box *

The asterisks indicate the consoles I still own. And I have owned 2 ps2s and 2 nes'. So that brings the total to 13. Though I only had my Saturn for a couple months. I wouldn't say it was mine either. Plus I had to share all my consoles with my sisters up until I got my psx. So to say they were mine might be a bit of lie. Like I wasn't born when my dad bought our Atari.

I play my ps2 the most. In fact if there is a game out for both consoles I buy it for the ps2 unless there is a huge difference between the games that I hear about.

in chrono order:

SEGA Master System (alex kidd in miracle world, built in!)
SEGA Mega Drive II
Nintendo Gameboy (Transparent)
SONY Playstation 1
SONY Playstation 2
Nintendo Gameboy Advance (Glacier)

and 2 PCs... (they play games, and console games so why not hey? )

I used to be a console person when I was younger... but then PCs kind of took over for about... 6 years before I finally got a PS1. I keep the old ones for nostalgia. I keep my PS1 because it allows me to play FFTactics. Incidently, I play on my PS1 more than any other system....

I see your point, PC is more for the older gamers now, consoles are more for the younger range, but its anyones choice what they want to play on, I play on both, but I just perfer the PC for the internet and work, just the odd session on online gameing.

I like both Consoles and PCs... even if I am inclined to ram my PC fanpersoness down your throats ... More to the point, I like Consoles to balance out my need for younger targeted games (even if some are easily far harder than any game that requires you to shoot people in the face), hence another reason why I don't have an XBox. I think you need a balance, otherwise you'll simply tire of genres that never try to push things foward (haven't played many recent FPSs... they all try to be too realistic, and Stealthy gameplay has also got pretty naff after 5 years of it being in most action games)

*chokes on fanpersoness's pc ramming down throat routine*
Only kidding, everyones entitled to their own opinion. Personally I like both and all. 3G phones, video games consoles, handhelds and PCS. Also I can see where youre coming from when you say that consoles are targeted at the younger generation (yes 10 year old hiding in the cupboard playing GTA ELSPA found you). But I dont see exactly why you dont have a Box. Im gonna get one because of the variety of games not becasue of the graphics and "oh its som uch better". I just like different games thats all. Same goes with a Cube.

Now when I talk about mobile phones having games I mean the new Nokias, ericcsons and sharps which have java games and video recorders and the like - but they are quite expensive to get games however. But I know some WAP sites with free downloadable Java games in colour.

Then we come to the PC. Now then 3 years ago your PC would do, jack**** what they can do nowadays but basically you can buy the top of the range PC today and tommorow it can be bottom of the range. Thats how fast the market moves these days which is good in a way. The reason I like PCs to do the dirty work is because they can handle more than consoles and the graphics and sound have become phenonemal thanx to Audigy Blaster 6.1 Gold plated cars and GeForce FX's. But you still need the meaty processor to go with them. Anyways basically, you could transform a slow computer into a supercomputer within hours. Then youre ready to play the latest games, get the latest expansion packs for the sims and also enjoy fast online action. You can even see better graphical detail when you jump on a car in GTAVC and shoot someone in the head and they come out with no head and a lot of blood. Yet again: (I keep using this smilie today - must bejust the mood Im in)

The only thing that you said that I dont agree with is the part about stealth. I mean look at Splinter Cell and MG/S and youre telling me that stealth has deteriorated - NO WAY!!!

Anyways to leave on a lighter note there is an even better side to consoles that I must say. Consoles go back so long and you can get all the old calssics on all your old classic consoles (even though theyre remaking them now (example Final Fnatasy 1/2)). So if you get bored of blowing people up in MGS go and relax with Sonic - or if I know Sonic games NOT!!

I currently own a PS2 and a GameCube.

I had many others in the past (including a Jaguar) but they disappeared somewhere as time went on. I want to purchase a SNES again, I just can't find one.
