Coming a few weeks after the death of Ion Storm Austin (Deus Ex/ Invisible War / Thief Deadly Shadows), Warren Spector has reportedly formed a new games development studio named "Junction Point" with 12 Ex-ISA employees, and they are reportedly working on a game idea abandoned in the mid-90s by Looking Glass Studios (Ultima Underworld 1 and 2, System Shock 1 and 2, Thief 1 and 2).

The exact nature of this project is unknown - one game idea may apparently be an MMORPG of some kind (My Verdict = Meh), but there is also speculation that it may turn out to be some kind of twist on the System Shock formula. Why? "Junction Point" was the name assigned to the rumoured sequel to the original System Shock - a game planned but dropped in the mid nineties (it didn't surface until the end of the decade). What's more, an age-old design document for "Junction Point" has been kicking around for a while... not exactly conclusive proof, but we can always dream of a System Shock 3... (and by "we" I mean all of 5 people who played the other two games ^^)
