The Sims 2: consoles?

I'd like to know if there's any possibility that this game will be released for any console, after being just released for PC. Or if there will be another Sims game for console anyway in the next future.... I've heard there's this game called Urbz which will be almost identical to the Sims, but I got no much info on it, and how it will be, and what will be differences between this game and the original The Sims, and for what consoles it will be released.

Most likely it will be released on consoles, but I dont have any offical confirmation.

I have the sims 2 and it is an ace game. Maxis making your sims smarter improved the gameplay so much, no need to micromanage as much as you had to in the first sims. If you have a family, you can focus one one member for the day and the other sims will still keep thier mood up on thier own. Although they matter they decide to do things is... interesting. My sim was near starvation but he chose to watch TV instead because his fun meter wasnt in the green. =/

A new Sims game for the consoles is more than likely... the Sims 2 for consoles isn't likely. The PC Sims games don't translate very well to console platforms, but the Sims is enough of a cash-cow for EA/Maxis to run off a sequel to the last Sims console titles...

I've heard there won't be a Sims 2 for consoles, but there will definitely will be an equivalent.
