Established that recently, i know GameCritics.com people seem to like Nintendo, if you want to check them out, they may have a comment about Nintendo that is different. I loved the original RE1 on the Playstation (best console imo)........

I don't really enjoy remakes, mainly because they hardly ever come out well. Most of the time they are just rehashed products with slightly enhanced graphics and nothing more. I think a remake should make the player remember what was so great about the original, acting as a foil, making both the original and remake shine. Unfortunately, though, this seldom happens and what is more likely is that the remake ends up ruining everything.
But then again, that's just me. I don't yet own a DS; I have too much money I need to spend on school stuff, so I don't know when I will get one. I know I will though because I am very eager to play Nintendogs. I think I need to play some more novelty games. Quote:

I don't hate Nintendo, they just don't give me anything to get excited about.

I haven't owned anything by Nintendo after the snes, but the joy it gave me with nes and snes alone is enough for me to have a lifelong respect...I know it I'm a nostalgic ^#&^#
I mean Atari and C64 are the ones that started it IMO, but when the nes hit the stores everybody wanted one it was ridiculous. We had one at a toystore where you could play 10 minutes for a guilder and there where lines across the whole store and that thing was played for years and years. They must have become filthy rich off of one single nes.

After the storied SNES there was tremendous build up for the at the time Ultra 64. Delays, the release of the Playstation and Saturn, and then just a very average product, began Nintendo's decline. Lack of quality game releases (see Game Cube), and general poor showing if any showing at all, have hurt any reputation that Nintendo possesed some ten years ago. All their fame is built on the past, nothing on what they are currently doing or have anytime recently at all. You could say the N64 was the beginning of the end, but the Virtual Boy was a sign of the decline, without a doubt, they lost a bundle on that baby and the person who created it, who also created the GameBoy originally, fell into great disfavor with the company. He died about five years ago almost forgotten...
