Here they stand on the barren greyness of being, locking intellects and gender, the bizarre clash of adolesence played out one hundred times across the world, yet here it matters not. This is practise, but this is personal.
They stand and stare, a statement of being of intent. This is growing up. The gunblades are raised, silver on grey skied pregnant clouds threating treachery.

The cold crafted blade takes its chances, Seifer barely blocks it. This is personal. Squall rains down the blade, cold ringing meeting the deafening silence of a thousand raindrops. In the failing light it looks like a thousand feathers falling.

He wondered what you felt when death was calling. Would the feathers still be there then ?
Still, he had an advantage.
Press it.

He did. The rain was the adversary, Seifer was on the backfoot now.

One more go and he'd yield. Respect.

Almost too easy.

The glow suddenly surrounded Seifer

Heartbeat, world of pain, lying on back. He got me, bastard. Electrical nerve shock. Get on your feet ! Now ! Do it !

Squall raised his eyes to the light and gazed into destruction again . Seifer brought the blade across Squalls face, gashing.

Burning, white light. Feathers falling

Shaken.

Must ... fight ... back

Squall brought his blade up in a blaze of vengance, catching Seifer in an almost identical cut across the pale skin.

blink. white light. feathers, the feathers fall, no pain, feel no pain no pain no pain ...... white light

They collapsed along side each other. The rain fell around them and they were found surrounded by a strangely placed amount of feathers.

Real real awesome. One of the many highlights of that game put to words........

Loved the thought process of Squall and the descriptions of their environment. Gave it some deep depth....bravo!
