My dreamcast problem

Well its kinda simple. Everytime I restart my console, it keeps wanting me to put in the date and time. I just want to know why it is doing this.

Ummm is it because its made by Sega?? Its like the Saturn, i believe, and has to have a battery in it to keep the date and time restored. GameStop or EB has replacement batteries. That should fix it...

Red face batteries need to be charged!!

if you reead the manual you need to charge the battery for two hours, i.e playing games charges it better. The battery can retain charge for 20 days... if this doesnt work.. unsoldier the batery and take it in to your local radio shack and replace simple as that!
... it goes to show its handy to read the manual... (*note i know not many people "would" read it)
