Online - Multiplay

Ok, I need to know something about the Online capabilities for the Playstation2, I hope this is the right place to post this.

Now, if for example, a game like "Time Splitters 2" is online enabled (Just for example, I know it isn't). But if it is, and I am playing with my four other buddies, ... Now..... can I go online and play 4 player among other people online? Like my other friends sitting with my at my house playing online too. Is that possible.

I know about Xbox though, that you need an account and if you save the account on the memory card, ...... you can take to you friend's house and put it in his controller, and if your other 2 friends do the same, you can go online 4 players on one TV.

But how does it work with the Ps2? Can I really play 4 players online on one TV? Thank you for taking your time. I'd appreciate your help.

I was wondering the same exact things but if you have seen the setup for the online boards and to start everything and such I would have to say no I don't think so.....but it is possible!!!

I know games like NBA LIVE 2003 are only one play compatible and Socom is only one player at anytime, so I have not even seen a game online that has the option of online and two players, besides sports games. So right now Ill say no, but maybe in the future.

I think it depends on the game not the system you use. Any system can make that work but only certain games add that feature. I thought I heard that Tribes Arial assault was like that were you could play more than one player off of the same PS2 but not sure. Otherwise you can hook up 2 PS2's, 2 TV's, 2 NA's in the same house with a router. I have heard this is being done but my brother and I tried it at his house and didn't work real well. His internet has a slow upload speed so we kept getting booted. I think what was happening it that the server thought we were running 56K or something and booted us within seconds of the game starting. I think if you have a good ISP that gives good upload and download speeds this will work. Gook Luck.
