Gungrave
Who's heard of this series and who has seen it. I just recently finished it and I must say it was one of the most well done animes I've seen in awhile. Its kinda based on the game but dwells more on what happened between the main character Brandon Heat and Harry MacDowell. I must say it is quite moving and tells one of the greatest stories of friendship and betrayal. If you haven't seen it I highly suggest you do.

Unfortunately, I've only seen up to episode 6. I haven't been able to get the rest lately...maybe later.
Anyway, this series is really good and really one of my current favs. (I especially love the ending theme! *sings along to CD*). What this series reminds me of is somewhat of Cowboy Bebop and besides that, a lot of the story reminds me of Asian drama/action films (with the whole friendship betrayal theme). And one of the parts in episode 6 really shows it ( Spoiler: show Anyway, yes...I really like this series and hope to finish it up soon.

Yeah just a little annoucement. I recently got the box set with the 1 dvd and I must say I am very pleased with the dubbing that was done. Some of these actors I never heard of do a great job on it.

Sorry. Gotta bring this old thread back, and give my thoughts on it.
I don't have any episodes, but I was watching it on TechTV during the times they aired it. I must say this is indeed a great anime. I do agree with it having some similarities of Cowboy Bebop. Even though I haven't seen all the episodes this is the 1st anime I've actually appreciated the story over the action, and I am probably one of the biggest action fans out there. |

This is one of the anime series that I would like to see. It looked pretty good on the commercials I have seen for it. So overall, would anyone recommend it or is it just not that great?

The stuff from the game comes later in the anime.
Really, I think the anime is pretty good, adds some backstory to the games. |

Yeah I own the box set with the first DVD too. So far I have every DVD that was released here (which is only 4). The series is really good and is my third favorite anime of all time. I do see the similiarities to Cowboy Bebop a bit too. And the good stuff does come later. Just be patient and enjoy the moment. I like the stuff about Brandon and Harry's past. Its real entertaining and just building up for the moment for when Brandon does finally die.
