Winter Day
Hehe, I was supposed to be writing my final paper for my English class, but I was bored outta my mind, so I decided to "doodle" on Paintshop...
...as always, my "doodles" turn out to be something I actually work on. So, here's my newest result: Winter It's nothing major and very similar to my other stuff, but I particularly liked the trees. This drawing started off as a simple "Rainy Day" image, but then I somehow turned it into a snow scene. Here's the original: Rain I created this from scratch on Paintshop, as you probably could tell from my jagged lines. Hope you guys like it.

Ooh, I like it, meryl.
I especially like how you used the color green in a variety od different ways. Nice color pick, especially since the holidays are rolling around. I don't know about others, but I really like the eyes! They're so glossy and "deep." I dunno. They seem really captivating to me. I also loved the trees! The snow ontop of the brances/leaves was a very nice touch! Your work (in PS) seems to be improving quite a lot. If this was something you started from scratch, then I must say that it is very impressive, meryl. Keep up the good work. Overall I think the image is quite nice. Both images are very nice. The "rain" one is great because it seems very simple, yet elegant. However, I gotta say that I like the one with the snow more. It has more flair, you know? Would it be okay if I used it as my wallpaper? PS: Are those little bubbles I see down by the lower left of the girls? Cute! |

Trees and snow are a cool addition to your work, the first pic looks a lot better with those details! I also like a lot the way you did the girl's scarf and sweater! They look very warm and soft!

Thanks you two! Yeah, I also really like the snowy version more than the rain now too.
Mena: Yes, I'd be so honored if you used this as your wallpaper! Thank you! Rei: I tried to achieve the soft, fuzzy sweater material and I'm glad it turned out fine. I used this airbrush pattern called "Bead String" for the scarf and "Pastel Chromatic" for the sweater. Thanks again, guys! ^_^

Nice! I LOVE the warm fuzzy texture of the scarf and hair and sweater!
And the trees, awesome texture, did you draw them by hand?! It's really neat because it's a cold winter scene, but it's not cold at all, but nice and cozy and comforting somehow. Fab work m'dear! ^^ |

Thanks to the rest of you for the kind comments.
Gad: Omg, no I didn't do the trees by hand. I don't think I could even attempt it. I used an airbrush pattern called "Line Vertical" to achieve the pine trees.
