Leaving for Bands Apart Festival in a couple of hours. I'll get to see Franz Ferdinand tonight, Camera Obscura on Monday, Interpol + dEUS the day after, dEUS again on Wednesday - won't be the same festival, that will be another thing.
See ya in 5 days buckos! Arrr! |

Ok peeps. I don't know if somebody's interested, but here's some of the photos I took at the show I mentioned above:
- Camera Obscura - dEUS - Interpol Harry also took photos of your friendly Owl with famous people. Do not believe me? Here, arrr! With Tracyanne of Camera Obscura With Carey of Camera Obscura With Tom Barman of dEUS With Klaas of dEUS With Daniel of Interpol With Paul of Interpol(Farmer Dave in the background) Funny, no? PS: dEUS are the coolest people ever, besides uncle Walt of course. |

wow! ace! i'm very envious of your getting to see those bands! i've never seen camera obscura despite my friends supporting them a couple of times. boo and hiss to me. also, interpol never play anywhere near here, which is very saddening! also, your getting to meet them! wow! i've only ever met two people who are exciting on such a level; david gedge of the wedding present, who i rambled at about bands for a little bit, and billy corgan, who i managed to say nothing to at all!
cool photos!

Interpol played several dates in the UK in the past weeks, no? I thought so. Maybe I am wrong? I wanted to meet Sam Fogarino too, but I was stalking Mr. Banks when he got out their bus

they totally did! they played in sheffield and manchester and a few festivals. sadly i'm at the very bottom of the country in the opposite end to london. boo and hiss! one day i'll see them. i really loved our love to admire. it's a very sad album though, or so it seems...

Oh i see. Though I also had to go to a completely different part of the country. Nobody right in their heads would play in Rome, with a few exceptions. But Ferrara, where they played, is infamous for the lethal climate. They had no good options I suppose.

I bet wearing all that black didn't help them either. Yes, I could have/should have travelled to see them. In fact, I was offered a ticket last year but that happened in a very grey sort of time for me where I didn't do much, and this year I'm playing too many shows with my own band to reallu get out. I'm doomed! One day though!

good luck with that! and good luck with your band's activity, too!
PS: I see you're selling your EP. That's truly exciting! can you enlighten me about this? PPS: I might be going to Blonde Redhead next week. I have tickets, but also something going on at home. I hope I will be able to go. |

Thankyou! Yes, over the cold winter months, the band and I managed to somehow record a very wintery e.p, which with the normal sort of planning involved, we managed to release in summer. If you message me your address, I'll send you one! You might want to put it away until at least november though... You can preview it on last.fm too! It's all very weird, we've been on the radio talking about it, but I'm still not actually very good at talking about it. On the radio I started rambling on about tonight tonight amongst other things. If in doubt, revert to being seventeen.
Blonde Redhead! I hope you can go too! I'm completely in love with their music at the moment. It's so very easy to get lost in, in the best way.

Nice to hear you had a great time Panuru, the music's not my cup of tea but they seem like nice guys and music festivals are always great!
Congratz on the EP Faile and nice to hear your getting airtime for it, hope it goes down well with the peepz and you get to tour a lot visiting a lot of cool places, let me now if you get near amsterdam though I will make sure that there will be some heinekens waiting for you then. Thinking: Too bad vacation ended already, but I had a great time so no problem really...

I'd like to have your EP, but since I'm leaving tomorrow, do you think it'll be ok if I request it when I am back? I'm so so so very willing to listen to it!
PS: couldn't go to Blonde Redhead. Wasted tickets, I hate it. But... Next time.... NEXT TIME! |

That's fine! I have a pile of cd's here. I'll try to find you a badge too! That's such a shame about Blonde Redhead though. I'm wasting tickets for a festival this weekend too, if that's any consolation. I'm sure it's not, but sometimes life gets in the way... Boo and hiss at life!

I know it's mean, but realizing I'm not the only one wasting tickets honestly made me feel a little better And badges! the thought of it also made me a little happier! Woo! Did you make them yourselves?
Life sucks. Indeed. We're keeping ourselves young in the spirit repeating teenage slogans. But it's true. |

we designed the badges but had to get someone with a button machine to make us a load! i'll ensure that you get one, because they're awesome. you're also getting the last of the numbered cd run, for ultra indie points. number 50 of 50!
yeah, in youth we trust. growing up doesn't make sense and it's far harder. life promised so much more!
