Is there anything in the game that would ruin Xenogears? I can't remember if it's been answered yet.

Well actually there are events from Xenogears that show up in saga, but nothing huge, it would just be beneficial to have finished gears before this.

at the point where i'm at it seems there are some characters and terms similar to XG but nothing directly linking the two . Just a lot of Dejavu, it seems as if Takahashi put things in intentionally, but sort of added some new elements to them.
BTW the game has me hooked..it's alot better than FFX IMO. Kos-mos is a badass. |

But don't forget Ziggy, he's a great character, seems real deep and is quite strong physically, and he's a mercenary so that always plays out well with me...I'm just not too fond of the name "Ziggy" I don't know if I like it better than FFX yet, the story already has far out weighed FFX...but we'll just have to see, far too early to compare. I'm not too fond of some of the character models, they look too plain and childish to me, and I'm not too fond of the whole space environment, I like my RPG's to take place in wooded areas, deserts, snow capped mountains, vast oceans...in other words on some sort of planet, so hopefully we'll be landing on one...other than that, I've gotten used to the battle system so far and the story is really lifting off...great game so far

I think this game is much better then FFX so far but I really didn't like FFX outside of the sphere grid, LuLu and Blitzball. I've played Dark Cloud 2 for about 14 hours and I am no longer interested in playing it thanks to this game. The gnosis (check spelling) remind me of the bad creatures from Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. The battle system is great and the game is just hard enough where you can't just do the same move over and over until the battle is over. The cut scenes are great and you can skip them.

alright then, xenocard has me hooked.
Best damn card game i've ever played in an rpg. I have about 15 hours logged into the game...and haven't even made it back to the bridge of the elsa, after checking the ships catapult w/ Shion. Minigames +++++++ A) Drill game = teh suxx0rz B) Mech battle = ...still undecided. Kinda fun, i need to upgrade before trying again. Maybe it'll be better then. |

You guys play pretty fast, eh? I just got mine on Monday and am still in the damn ship...about 4.5 hours. Liking it so far, but it hasn't gone quite up to that "addiction" level yet.

I need to get out mroe too. I finally saw the commercial for the game and my mind is unchanged, maybe they'll remake Xenogears. It's just a thought.

Xenogears resembles what the fifth episode of the Xenosaga will be about.
Spoiler: show However, it will not be a direct remake, as Xenogears was firstly done by Squaresoft and the rights belong to them.

Wish I could say I have much of an imagination anymore, but I do play RPGs because they are imaginative.
