I played and finished "Tomb Raider: Legend." Wow, what an improvement from the last few games....it's actually, um, what's that word......fun!

Right now I'm playing MGS3 in which I'm at the alligator pond right after meeting EVA. Or what I like the call "the pond where I got dragged into the watery depths and made into an alligator chew toy, YAY!" that really, really sucked when that happened when I was at that location for the first time.
Also playing Xenosaga 2, going really slow with it because it's a game I require a bit of time set aside to play it so I haven't had that sort of time yet. I also might boot up The Suffering: Ties That Bind, haven't beaten that yet. Still playing my 360 as well but I wanted to give it a break and give my PS2 a go, haven't played my PS2 in a few months at least. Tomb Raider: Legend kicks ass, I rented it for the 360 and took it back because I will buy it sometime in the future. I've also disliked the series since day one so it being like the original is nothing really awe inspiring to me. The game feels alot more loose, enjoyable and fun, they got rid of the grid system lining up a specific jump was irritating now I don't have to be SO precise about it. I understand this limitation of the days of 96 but I have no idea why they kept at it with Angel Of Darkness. Eidos giving the game to Crystal Dynamics was a good idea, Core just wasn't putting the game on the right track anymore, even to people who liked the series were displeased with the series right around when three came out, or so I heard.

I agree with Sleazy though: the original is the original and that's what makes it the best. Sure, "Legend" is great, but I won't forget the awe and the addiction I felt while exploring the tombs and trying to uncover every nook and cranny of the levels.

Currently working on busting out a few reviews. Been playing some burnout 3, Driver parrallel lines, some NCAA Baseball, a little bit of Torino 2006 and due to NHL playoffs have started playing NHL 2006 again.

For me, when I played Tekken 5 about a year and a half ago at the press launch, it was far more akin to Tekken 3 and the PSX games than Tekken 4. Certainly, Namco were drilling in to us about how it was a return to the roots of the series rather than Tekken 4 which they saw as a more 'realistic' game, hence the slower speed.

It's okee... no worries ... about the 1st question, i'm not sure what you mean by including "the original tekken 1,2 and 3"...maybe you better rephrase the question, for me to be able to give you a straight answer. As for your second question, 4 does seem kinda slow, compared to tekken 5...although i still think, contrary to what Faile said, tekken 5 is a bit slower than the 3rd. of all i still think the one i had more fun playing was tekken 3. I think the moves are lot faster than in 4 or 5. |

You could be right. My memory of playing Tekken 3 is based on many lost hours an amazing eight years ago and I played Tekken 5 the day after a really bad breakup and remember very little, so it is all a bit jumbled. I had to have a look at my notes from the event to even remind myself what Tekken 5 was like.

Well, I'm not playing anything at the moment because the only game I really want to play at the moment is FFVIII. I won't be satisfied until I get that game back...... But the latest game that I rented from blockbuster was Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams... 1st impressions about it was, bleh.... Controls is taking a while for me to get use to... I guess it's because I was playing DMC3;SE before renting this game. But like I said, it's bleh at the moment because I'm in this picky mood to play FFVIII. Visually speaking, the game is prettiful though.
As far as Tekken 5 goes.... I didn't care much for it. I think it was the fact they changed Jin's move set altogether. Made him into a sucky fighter. The boss would have me looking stupid when he throws out a damn fireball, that drains almost half your energy............................ (didn't have much of a problem with it because I like hard games)
