Question Is it just me?

Is it just me, or does everybody else take time and thought on their posts. For instance, most posts are HUGE, and usually takes up about half of a page. Why is this?

People just have things to say. And some people just elaborate more than others. I remember people said I had the longest welcome post and it was just because I had things to say.

Im sure poeple dont sit there and think about how they are gonna post something, like they are writing an essay. They just have to say something and it ends up being a long post.

I don't think most posts are huge. Some of them are long, some others are not at all. Average posts are not very long, anyway...
In some threads is good to have people replying with more than a short post. It means they actually took some time to think and write down their opinions. But lenght is not that important. Some short posts can be very interesting too. They express in few lines what others said with their huge posts. Anybody should be free to express themselves in a way they find proper for what they want to say. As Chara mentioned, if you have things to say, just say them, and take all the time and space you need for this purpose. I'm sure around here there are people who avoid to read long posts or who just read bits of longer replies, but this way these people could miss some very important and interesting points, especially regarding complex discussions. If you reply, you must read the whole thread, long posts included In a forum you have to be interested in reading and posting, also trying to put some effort in the way you express your opinions, I suppose.

Another thing:is it just me or does the font make it surprisingly bigger? It seems that whenever somebody posts, they're not saying that much but in any case the font's gonna make the post a LOT bigger.

The font size is not big. Try checking your browser's options...

Yep, as fortune said, check your browser settings or do as I do to make sure the font is the right size. Press ctrl and scroll the wheel on your mouse away from you until the font gets it smallest. Then scroll the mouse towards you until the font size increases two times. That is the default font size.

And as a sidenote, when I first figured out that I can change the text size with my mouse I spent a good 15 minutes going:

BIG
small
BIG
small
BIG
small

WOW! I never knew that. I know if you hold shift and use the scroll thing it lets you go back and forward.

Are you worried because some posts are too long and you want to know why people write too much? What's wrong with you? jk

longer posts actually make the thread good i mean I am sure that i am not the only one who would like to see more then just 3 word responses. Not to mention some people will try to help the person who started the thread with good advice to their questions or emotional support for their problems
