Guilty Gear series (Mainly X2 and Accent Core)
The first and only game of the series I've played was Guilty Gear Isuka, and I hate that game to the fullest, but hearing that the other games of the series was quite different from Isuka, and me going back to the 2D fighters, I've decided to give the series another shot.
I'm kind of torn between which game to get though, Guilty Gear X2 or XX Accent Core. I've read that X2 has a decent story mode, and I'm curious to see what it's about, and at the same time, I heard that Accent Core made X2 more balanced "shrugs", and also has 2 extra characters.. Does that mean there are 25 characters in AC? How different is AC from X2? I know there's no Story Mode, and 2 extra characters in AC, but that's all I really know. I'm just coming off of playing Street Fighter Alpha 3 (SFAA), so I should be fine with the controls, right? Looked up some movelists, but it was confusing.. People using something like "2k513" (What the crap...?) I suppose, from here I'll just ask who're some of your favorites or who do you usually play as?

I only played the first Guilty Gear on ps2, but the game rocked. I takes some time to get used to the controls (me coming from a SF and KOF background), but it's very rewarding to get it nailed down. The speed and pace of the game is excellent and (at least) GGX is balanced and you can get incredible match-ups.

I heard/read that the speed is up there with Marvel vs Capcom series. So I should like the game quite a bit, in terms of speed goes, that is. Musically speaking on the other hand, I'm not so sure. Seeing how I'm not a fan of the rock/metal genre. If there are no words to any of the songs then I may be able to tune the music out and just play the game. But if there's people screaming at the top of their lungs.... "cringes"
Well, I have X2 coming in the mail. Hopefully it won't matter which of the two I have.

There are no vocals on any of the tracks on the earlier editions and the music really suits the gameplay well, I think you will find it no problem at all.
