Image merging?
Hey guys.
I have a small questions regarding image editing (or at least, that's what I think it's called ). There is a small "project" I want to do for Christmas. What I want to do is merge two pictures together. Since I'm not a fan of taking pictures of myself (or being in them in any way), I don't have any, and now I kinda need them. Basically, what I want to do with these pictures is recreate a moment. I know, I know, it sounds sappy, but I think it would be rather nice. Now, since I don't have any pictures of myself in the given times when those situations occured, what I want to do is this: I want to take a picture of the actual place, like say a classroom (...). Then, I want to take another picture of myself wherever. What I want to do is take the picture of myself and somehow put it in the picture with the classroom, so it looks like I'm actually in it. I know that this is something that can be done, but I'm not sure which program is the best for this. I was thinking that it is probably photoshop, but I'm not entirely sure. So, if anyone can tell me which program I should use, and maybe give me a link that offers a tutorial or something, I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks in advance. |

Since I use it (and it's considered by most people the best program you can get for these things) I'd say Photoshop is what you need for these kind of things. Paint Shop is a good option too. Other programs, as Corel etc. are not as good as these IMO.
As for tutorials, you can search this directory for image blending/merging. I had some other useful tutorial link, but I can't find it anymore. If I can find them again, I'll post later. |
