just wondering what everyone thought about the xbox collection?

I have wanted the PS2 GTA Games for a while now and......the double pack came out so...i boght it! And i reckon PS2 controllers are better to play with than XBOX controllers with GTA.

Some games like halo are a dream to play on an XBOX controller (although better with keyboard plugged in/PC version)
and would be alot harder (well not harder but..) less enjoyable to play on a PS2 controller (although god i wish Halo would come to PS2...its never gonna happen unless Bill Gates/Microsoft takes over sony or Vice Versa. (hehe Vice versa..get it, Vice city???...lol not funny i know) Jeez i wish sony took over bill gates' sorry ass!

Considering Microsoft is the richest independant company in the world, Sony would be hard pressed to buy them out. Also the rights to Halo belong to Bungie, not Microsoft so it wouldn't matter if Sony did buy them. End result: No Halo for Ps2. Ever.

I got hold of the XBox version of Vice City the other day and tried it out. The graphics are better, the saves are quicker and the custom music option breathes new life into the (admittadly excellent) soundtrack. But the controls are just too damn fiddly. To drive-by you have to take your left thumb of the analogue stick and use the d-pad which is a nightmare if you need to turn at the same time.

If you haven't played GTA3 or Vice City yet (what the hell?) then take the PS2 version. Poorer graphics but easier controls.

The short answer-No.

Why should I buy the xbox versions when I already own them for PS2? Even if there was some kind of additional content that wasn't in the PS2 version(which there isn't) I still wouldn't see a point to it.

Yes, there is additional content. The soundtrack is better, by far. Load times are almost instantaneous, there isn't a second of frame rate drop anytime in the game, and textures are smoother.

Yes, I bought the X-BOX double pack, and I don't regret my purchase.

Yup I got the double pack and I must say it is a great investment. Overall it is much better expirence than the ps2 version, mainly due to the custom soundtracks. The game also boasts better visuals and load times as Dactrius also explained. But if it worth it if you beat both games numerous times on the ps2, probably not. I mean theres nothing new to the game, except it being prettier, faster, and having custom soundtracks.

if i buy a game that says it is for PS2 only i dont want to see it on a diferent system a year latter !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


and halo was only fun for the first week, i dont see what everybody likes about it, after a week it got boring to me. (single player and multi player)

AvP2 came out before halo and it is still more fun to play multi player on that game than halo.
