Best. Fighting Game. Ever.
Fighting Games are the best genre of games available IMO.
They are both unpredictable and action packed. I've had some of my more memorable gaming experiances playing fighting games. So then enough rambling... i've compiled a list of ones i can think of off hand feel free to vote if you'd like. This is a non scientific poll Just for fun. |

I Still Remember....
I Still Remember, I STARTED Playing Video Games (AT THE ARCADES) Because Of "Street Fighter" And I Used To Spend More Then 50 Bucks On That ARCADE Machine When I WAS REALLY Small (Didn't Have Any Console) Except Atari2600 And A TV GAME.
Neways... So Yeah I Loved Street Fighter (THE VERY FIRST ONE) I Still Remember, Where U Could TAKE Only RYU, And Fight Through And IF U Challenge Someone, "KEN" Will Enter The Tournament And All It Was An Amazing GAME, I Loved Every Second Of It But When I STARTED Playing "Mortal Kombat 2" I FELL IN LOVE With The GEM. I Had MegaDrive2, So I BOUGHT This GAME And PLAYED It LIKE A ZOMBIE With My Friends. And The "TEAM" Battles Were JUST Too Good. Use To Play It For ATLEAST 8 HOURS NON Stop. I Still Remember, My FAV Was Reptile, I Was REALLY Good With HIM, And As Well As Baraka. Well All I CAN Say Is That What I AM To Metal Gear Solid Right Now, I WAS To Mortal Kombat BACK Then In 1993-1994-1995. But Then Ma Friend Introduced Me To "TEKKEN" Series, And The FIRST ONE I Played WAS "Tekken 3" STRAIGHT Away. When I BOUGHT Ma PsOne, I Bought This GAME With It. And I Still Remember, In The Beginning I Didn't Like It As Ma Friends WOULD Kick Ma Ass, But But But, I Practiced With ONE Character "Lin Xouyo" And BELIEVE Me I CAN Kick ANYONE's ASS Now. I Am THAT GOOD. And I Love THIS GAME, It Has One Of The Most Amazing Story LINES (IF Anyone Has EVER Noticed) Just Too GOOD!.! Nothing Beats TEKKEN, And I MEAN Nothing. Just Check The Characters Out/ The STORY Line/ The Moves/ The Costumes/ The Music/ And Now The GRAPHICS. This Game ROCKS BIG TIME. When Bunch Of Friends Are OVER "The King Of Iron Fist" GETS On And Never Gets Off. This Game Is A TRUE GEM. Totally Mindblowing!.! And This Game DID A Great JOB When It Came Out FIRST Long Time Back, As I Still Remember

While the Tekken series is my favorite fighting game right now, I'd have to pick the Capcom vs. Marvel game since I really liked the idea of these cross-overs and the gameplay was pretty much addicting for me.

Bah! You missed off Soul Edge (Soul Blade in the UK) and Dead or Alive 2...
Only two fighting games I've ever wanted to (and do) own. - S

i loved both killar instinct and the tekken series, and i am having huge fun at the moment with dead or alive 3,
and i must say the graphics are out of this world, soul edge was good aswell and i loved all the characters in street fighter, overall killer instinct was my favourite but doa 3 is better.

I definitely can not give you my opinion about a certain single game. There's just too many fighting games I like.
I should mention as my favorites: *The KOF series *The Street Fighter series (including the alpha series, excluding the EX series)(EX series were pretty cool but I like the other SF much much better) *Virtua Fighter 4 *Mortal Kombat 2 (the others were pretty much repetition although MK Trilogy is awsome) *DOA 2: Hardcore (I got it recently and I love it ^_^ ) *XMEN VS SF, CAPCOM VS MARVEL, etc.... *The first Killer Instinct was awsome *Capcom VS SNK 2 (I like it a lot but I'm afraid it could have been a lot better ) *Garou:Mark of the Wolves (best of the Fatal Fury series)

Oh, and I forgot to mention a game, that I seem unusually unpopular for the excellency of game it is....
Mace: The Dark Age. I played it only on arcades a couple of years ago. One of the best fighting games I have ever played. I know no other console different than N64 where it was released in. I never played such version, though.

You may be contradicting yourself, Iguana. Survival Horror games can be repetitive as well... find keys, kill mosnters/zombies, get scared.......... the only one that has been going beyond is Silent hill I think.... but don't get me wrong, I love survival horror games, but if you wanted to give an example of "unprediction" against fighting games, I don't think this one worked.
And, let me ask you... have you actually got the time to play a lot of fighting games, IN DEEP, master each character in teh game? I'm almost sure you just don't like the genre (which I respect, is your opinion) but if you really knew what are fighting games about, you would have not said that, I think. As for racing games... damn, you ever heard about Gran Turismo? If you were into it, believe me, it would hardly be boring.
