Mine may be kinda cheesy, but the first video game I ever played was "Battle Arena Toshinden" way back in '95/'96. I tried out a demo of it in Blockbuster and I just flipped out by how fun the game is. After that I immediately went to buy a PS, so that game was what made me a true gamer.

The first game I've ever owned was a game for a really old PC-like machine and I don't even remember the name of the game. It was a game about "Asterix" if I'm not wrong, but it was terrible and the pixels moving on the screen didn't look exactly like Asterix It was in 1987 or 1988... I can't remember.
But this wasn't the first game ever for me. I remember playing some other terrible game for Commodore 64 (it was a dumb game about Snoopy) at my friend's house, before I could get my own videogaming system. I was envious of my friend because she could play videogames, and I asked several times to my mom to get a Commodore 64. She refused for some time and then changed her mind. So I got my first PC (if I can call it a PC...) as a Christmas present and I started playing videogames. But these games were not really funny to play, at least for me, because there was always something wrong with them, or with the machine, and they took ages to load. When I got the NES I started loving videogames. I think the first game I was addicted to was Super Mario (obviously). And the Legend of Zelda. I really loved that game. I was 11 or 12 when I got it. |

I don't remember my first game, but the game that made me love videogames was Super Mario 3. I remember that my cousin got a NES for his birthday and even if he didn't let me play much with the console because he was so jealous of it, I thought videogames were so cool!

My First Game Ever Was "PONG"....On This TV Game System. I Still Have It Though! I Remember I Was 3 1/2 Or 4 Years Old, When I Was Just Checking Some Stuff Under The TV And I Saw This "Cream And Black" Machine With Two Sticks. I Asked My Dad What It Was And He Told Me Its A "VideoGame". I Had No Idea What A "VIDEOGame" Was. (And YES I REMEMBER IT Very WELL). So I Didn't Ask Him To Put It On, Cause I Didn't Know What It Does. He Just Turned It On And Turned On "PONG"..... Now Pong Isn't Rocket Science So I Got The Idea Of Playing. And Dadaah, That Was My Very First Game. I Enjoyed It. It Had OTHER 6 Games On It Too. But I Remember I Never Called It "PONG" I Thought Of It As A "TENNIS" Game Something Related To That! Neways........... The Game That Really Made Me Fall In Love With VideoGames Was "Alone In The Dark" On PC. When I Was In Grade 4. In The Year 1993 Or Something Like That. ............ But Ofcourse I Played ALOT Of Mario Before That. Cause I Had This Machine Called "Hitex A280" Which Had "NES And Pegasus" Both In It!.! And I Played Alot OF Fun With It. Playing "Ninja Turtles" On It. As For Alone In The Dark........ That Game Was Just Way Too Amazing. And Totally Shocking To My Naked Eye. As It Was The First Ever "3D" Game I Experiened. And The HORROR It Had Was Too Good!.! (During That Time I Didn't Have A PC) So All I Imagined Was To GET A PC And Then "Alone in The Dark". As For Now....I Want Alone In The Dark 4. Just For The Hell Of It!

I think i first started playing at 7 yrs of age or younger i believe. I know the first game I played was mario with a duck hunt game in the same container. The duck hunt game was good. I had fun shooting ducks i guess. Before I played mario I was into the whole barbie and ken doll stage unfortunately. Once I played mario it started a whole new world for me. Ever since then I've played video games and can't stop. Video games are part of my life. I didn't really take games seriously until ps1 came out. I guess that's when I became a true gamer and really got into collecting games.

Well,. the first /real/ video game was Duck Hunt with the special gun! It angered me to no end when the dog would laugh, then I stopped playing it. Then Mario came along and I suppose that was what started it.

1) I think the first one was Super Mario Borthers for NES. I'm not sure, though, I was only 5 years old by then and I probably forgot if I played something else before Mario.
2)That's a tough one... I got into the vieo games thing since I played Mario and my dad bought me my NES so many years ago, although I didn't like video games back then so much as I do right now. But I do remember that the epoch in which I was a real ill, sick minded boy of so many video games, and it was in the SNES era I fell in love with fighting games such as Mortal Kombat 2 and Street Fighter 2 turbo. Later on I fell in love with The legend of Zelda: A link to the past and Mario RPG, and those were the ones which got me into RPG games. I really don't have memory to recall a single game which made me get into video games. Battle Arena Toshiden.... I remember years ago, I saw it and I thoguht "whoa, what an awsome game, look at the graphics!" and then last year I just had that "good impression" of the game, and I was going to buy a Battle Arena Toshiden 3, but as soon as I saw the intro video....... I wanted to cry I didn't buy the game after all
