Fable!
Okay i noticed that there are alot of threads talking about the games release etc but none about the game itself yet, i have this game and it is amazing, it shows everything from your wifes, to how many times you have had sex to what your alchol tolorrence is. The customizability and the power that there is, is stunning the way that i describe it to people is it is like kotor meets marrowind. Did anyone manage to get a hold of this title, are you making a good char or a bad im just playing it how i would in real life and it will be interesting to see how i come out

im going to get it today actually. i cant wait to play. I'll probably play on the good side first time through, evil second, and neutral third time through. By the way, is it an actual full blown rpg w/HPand MP andstuff or is it more like an action game w/rpg elements?

Yes it is but its real time i like to think of it as a hybrid of marrowind and kotor.

Fable was okay, it was the DDEs that pissed me off about this game, just like KOTOR.
Hype killed this game for me, I was expecting such a massive world.....and for it to be as real as Peter said it would be. x_x Last edited by Nelo Angelo; Sep 30th, 2004 at 10:05 PM.. |

KOTOR is the Knights of the Old Republic, and yes the over hype made it very drawn out but i still like all the things that are available to the players, the fact that you have a personality with powers and an aura i think is one of the coolest things along with if you kill someone that owns a house their how goes for sale because they have gone missing.

It shouldn't take you much longer if you rush though it. Heh.
By the way, meeting Lady Grey is optional. |

PJB depending on how many side quests u do i think youll probably get about 3 more quality hours out of fable. But of course it would easily be stretched or shortened depending on your style of play

I heard that u can continue playing after the ending credits are through. I think i'll just do the main quests till the end and then go back and do all the optional ones later when i have some more money and stuff.

dont bother, you cant theres no quests to do when you finish the game...none what so ever.... I beat the game, got married and got bored........do everything before you finish the game or you'll be sorry (unless you want to start from the top again) I totally ruined the game for myself I did one quest and then just went out hunting for a two days without doing anymore. I raised my Guile up to the point where I could steal items and break into peoples homes, I stole and sold........that raised enough money for me to buy one of the best swords in the game (one found in the guild shop behind the guy in charge). I then went into the quests and found all of them ridiculousely easy....all of em. I then sold that sword when north borrowstone opened up and bought the sword in that store....(3rd or 2nd best sword next to sword in the stone and the final sword) waaaay too easy....didnt live up to the hype and I felt like I was on rails with very less freedom than it promised. If your decisions are going to effect you consequences than why have (1)a replay value if you fail a quest (2) the ability to go to a temple and change your evil/goody-ness back to neutral if it really was a game regarding choices, then failing a quest would give you negative renown and thats it and choosing one side will force you to pay the consequences for your choice, not to be able to get rid of em when you get bored bla |
