Man... I can't beat this game !

It's so hard... ugh.

It seems as thought not many people have played the new Contra game. I got it after a while since it came out since I've been a fan of the series since back in the times of the SNes.
By the time Contra 3 was out, I was fairly young so, I didn't get to play it much [damned brothers]. Now, however, that I was able to play this...

This really IS a great game. It has a lot of reply value, imo. It's just fun to play with another person. The music is also very good, ranging from techno to metal. The main flaw is... its difficulty, though. 3 lives... wtf ?!
Although the game if fairly short and can be completed in about an hour, I doubt anyone can. It's difficult levels and bosses will surely put you in a halt.

Man... I have tried ! I have... but, I can't. It's too much for one player. Hell, I've even tried with my brother, but no go.

So, anyway... has anyone else played it ? If so, how far are you ?

put it on easy and you get like 7 lives with 99 continues.

Here is the code for 30 extra players, this code has been around since it started on the NES.

Plug in the second controller (must be Dual Shock 2) and enter UP, UP, DOWN, DOWN, L1, R1, L2, R2, L3, R3 a the title screen.

And from the sound of it, it's pretty tough...I love a good challenge!

As for Red and goodman...those codes will probably be useful, but the point is to beat the game on Normal and have the glory and pride in doing so.

Especially if the game is that tough.

What the hell am I saying though? I'd probably be crawling back here for the codes.

im going to rent it pretty soon. but last time i didnt notice BMX XXX *and i just went to blockbuster yesterday* oh well maybe i didnt look hard enough

ive only played the demo and from what i have played this game is freaking tough! i didnt even beat it yet. but it still was awesome!!! can't wait to buy it

But anyways, im playing Contra 3 on th SNES eumlator, Damn its hard! I cannot beat the first level, on normal difficulty, i get about 3 mins then im dead. On Easy Difficulty with 7 lives, I reach the first boss, then die miserably

Can anything Human beat this game on Normal!?

I actually find that game a bit simpler than this new one (which... I still haven't passed

).

I beat this game way back when I had the SNes, but it was quite a challenge. For example : that damned turtle is one hell of a tough enemy for it being the first boss. Ugh.

Getting acquainted with the levels on easy mode helps a lot, as you'll have more of an insight of what to expect when trying it on normal mode.

shattered solider is pretty fun, my retarded ass ps2 would only read the disc 1 time though.(tis old)

It's the only disc that has ever given me trouble, other than the Tsplitters 2 demo w/ the TRAOD trailer on it..

Shattered Soldier is a challenge... I did manage to beat it on my own though. Most of it is memorizing the missions and the boss's hotspots.

Don't worry meryl, you should pull through, just get through all the anger and frustration

and you should be alright.

i hope the next contra is an FPS, with the same style though as seen in Shatterted Soldier. It's cool and all that Konami decided to go old school side scroll, can't help but wish it was an fps though..
