Which FF Game are you most Anticipating?
Which upcoming FF are you looking foward to? Here is a reminder of the contenders:
Final Fantasy X-2 Playstation 2: The first ever sequel to a FF game. Upon finding a Sphere with an image of a certain Blitzball Superstar, Yuna with Rikku and a new Sword Weilding Friend set out on a new adventure to find the truth in a world now recovering from Sin. Just more Scantilly Clad than they used to be. Early indications are of a light hearted adventure, which has a soundtrack which will drive you to insanity. The gameplay itself may just be good though... Expected : Before the end of the year. PAL release may be 27th September... Final Fantasy XI : Online PC / Playstation 2: A Completly Online Role Playing Game set in the world of Vana'Diel. Customise an evolving character via Multiple Job Class, Occupation and Equipment choices whilst exploring a diverse and massive world. Out between October and December [PC] and between January and March [PS2] in North America. PAL release undecided. FF Tactics Advance GBA: The Snowy Town of St. Ivalice is transformed into the Medieval-esque Land of Ivalice when a young (Bullied and Motherless) boy named Mute purchases an ancient book named "Final Fantasy" and wishes that it were true. Uses a similar engine (ie. Battle Style, Graphics etc.) to the Original Playstation Tactics, but with a new world, new characters and many new elements. Out Sometime Between September and December in all teritories Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicle GameCube: Utilising a graphical style akin to Final Fantasy IX, CC will be the first Square game on a Nintendo Home-Console for nearly 10 years. Fight alongside up to 4 people, using GBA conectivity to promote co-operation. Imminent Release in Japan. Expected to be out by March 2004 in all territories Final Fantasy XII Playstation 2: Square are keeping very tight-lipped about the whole thing, but we can perhaps expect a blowout of information when its time for the Tokyo Game Show (September?) Meanwhile, here is the little bits we do know about FFXII: Concept Art FFXII Staff Out sometime before hell freezes over (2004 in Japan) I'm anticipating FF Tactics Advance the most (hence the most enthusiastic description ^_^) can't wait for it, and it already has a wealth of good characters. And an Alcoholic Cid.

FFX-2: It's kinda neat that its a sequel and all, but to tell the truth, I'm not that excited about it, even if I'll still probably buy it...
FFXI: Well with this one, it all comes down to money...There will be no way in hell I'll start plopping down $6-$10 (or whatever the price is) per month for a game I've already payed $50 for. Its a shame to, since I really want to play this game. FF Crystal Chronicle: I don't got a GameCube nor do I have money for one... FFXII: Basically, not enough information to get me excited for the next installment yet. So, with that said, Tactics all the way.... |

Long time no see Artist,
Anyway definitly Tatics advance due to the fact i'm still against the whole FFX-2 idea for reasons stated many moons ago. FFXI yes I am looking forward to that but I see it as a side project to be honest. Something i'll dabble in but not eagerly participate in. FFXII well yes but its so far away that Tatics advance steals it for me. Also I played the original Tatics on psone import and even though I never really climbed aboard it for very long i'm still hoping to give the new tatics a try. EDIT: Forgot Crystal Chronicles, Basically although its part of the whole Final Fantasy facade I see it as more of a spin off like the GB legends series or that other one something quest they made aimed at younger folk.

Damn, it's a 3 way tie between FFX-2, FFTA, and FFXI. Which make it kinda hard, but I don't think I want FFXI as much as the other 2 cause I'll need someway to pay the fees that go with it. I'll just say FFTA for the hell of it, it comes out 7 days before my birthday and before the other 2. Not only that, but it's for a system I'll be able to play more.

To me, FF Crystal Chronicles, regardless of whether it is a good game (and early indications are that, yes it is) is not a Final Fantasy. My problem is that its far more similar to the aforementioned Mana/Seiken Densetsu series. Its like Square-Enix have put in a few Crystals and Chocobos into a new Mana game to: 1. Get more people to buy it (If you re-brand nearly any game on the planet as "Final Fantasy Somthing or Rather", it'll sell another 1 Million Copies to stupid saps - not unlike myself - who must have every game with FF in the name) 2. To appease Nintendo, by giving them the sure fire hit that will seal the friendship between the two companies, and reassure them that they're not simply after the right to develop on a handheld (which they are - when SE announce more than a solitary brand-name game on the gamecube, i'll believe that they are actually interested in developing games for it.) Well, thats buisness I guess. edit: and welcome back Macceh^ (assuming that you're sticking around for a bit ^_^) ... indeed it has been a while... edit2: go back to FF Tactics if you possibly can. I'm not requesting that you play one of the true top 3 FF games ever... i'm ordering you to! (and hey... i moderate this section of the forum, so I can order people about a bit if i want )

Paine is Lulu's and Wakkas daughter. Read in this site---> www.ffinsider.net. And i mean the songs in the game that are being sang are not just a normal song, they are being san by Koda Kumi a famous JApanease simger in Japan. And im saying that i dont know the preciste age of her, and i know how she looks, so im saying that Koda Kumo looks about 30, 29, 31 years old. .
