I started with the manga, but I stopped after the 2nd or 3rd chapter. I never clicked with it for some reason. Maybe it's because animes that has alot of talking in it is better to be heard than read... for me. I have a short attention span, and am rather slow in catching onto things that I read.
I have been looking at this on adult swim though, and it is interesting. Although I didn't pay much attention to it (because I didn't plan on watching it at 1st.), the 2nd episode is my favorite so far. The conversation between Light and L was very intriguing and kind of hooked me for a second.
With that being said, I'm also wondering if this will become repetitive. So far it just seems like the story is going to be just about a boy and a book and killing. And that seems like it'll get boring very quick. I'm quick to give up on a series if it gets too boring. (Especially if there's no action.)
