The pattern I think that emerged in the past was that Consoles are about as powerful as the a top of the range PC at the time. I remember that a friend of mine got a GeForce 3 about the time of the X-Box's release. Cost him a lot of money of course... Technically, the Console market is never really ahead of the best in PC tech, but 99.9% of the PC user base will be.

So I expect that the consoles will be as capable of the top GeForces and Radeons of 2005 and possibly 2006...
