Yup. Hated that too. I think of it as a fruit-pastel attitude to enemy design, and it's an unneccessary relic of the early consoles where time and space restrictions made developers simpyl change the pallettes of existing sprites. Interesting though that X-Box's Halo is guilty of exactly the same thing, but people didn't let it bother them... or concentrated on the Multiplayer of course.
