Well, if Uwe Boll is still allowed to direct videogame adaptations then yeah, anything is possible.

I'm still not happy that the movie is going to be made since most videogame films do not translate all that well (I wonder if the new "Max Payne" film will do justice? It coming out way too late though, I'm surprised if anyone still remembers the games). I also think Kojima has gotten way too greedy over the years but hey.

But well, it's still fun to think of potential casting so I've made my list:

Snake - Viggo Mortenson (sp?). I dunno, he was okay in LOTR. He kinda has the rugged features of Snake, fits a beard alright...don't know if he can do a gruff voice though.

Psycho Mantis - Doug Jones (physically). Jones was the man behind Pan and the Pale Man in "Pan's Labyrinth" and Abe Sapien in "Hellboy" so I think his body structure would be ideal as Mantis. Voice-wise, I guess they can just use someone (possibly the original VO which would be excellent).

Emma - Abigail Breslin. I don't know if they'll incorporate Emma at all but I think this girl would do okay. She's a bit tiny and younger than Emma was I think.

That's all I have right now. Sorry if it's lame and not more but the main characters (like Otacon, Ocelot, Liquid, etc.) are extremely hard to think of, at least for me.
