Mine would have to be FFVII. I loved the story and the magic system. The graphics were top notch at the time and I personally enjoyed all the FMVs. The reason I put it ahead of all the other FFs is that the characters were all awesome and of course Sephiroth. Favorite Character: Cloud
My other favs are:
Tactics: Game play wise I think it is the best. But of course I really don't like the Turn Based Systems that much. I thought that the only thing wrong with the game was the ending. I didn't fully understand it the first time I beat then the second time I thought it was weak.
Favorite Character: Ramza
X: The best Turn Based System I think in any RPG. A little to linear and the voices, while better then having none, were just ok. The story was good while Blitzball was such a great mini game.
Favorite Character: Auron
IV: Maybe if this game was originally made for the ps1 or ps2 it would get a lot more attention. It had a great story that was basic and not to complex. Interesting plot twists and good characters. The only problem was that you had level your characters up a lot.
Favorite Character: Cecil
