I've been watching it again and again and now that I'm past the whole awe of the video, now it's time for me to calmly assess it.

Yes, the trailer was badass, but after watching it several times, there's something inherently sad about it. Part of the sadness could be the music, the woman vocalizing, but most of the part is seeing each of the characters appear with the effects of their name, their kanji/Chinese character representation (which reminds me of those honorable and patriotic Japanese films), the rain blotches, and then the characters themselves. Seeing how much everyone has changed, but not for the better particularly...because you can see the weariness in their faces and the eyes...especially

But I think what really gets to me about this trailer is: everyone has grown up. The themes of youth and innocence, both has died. The past games, even though they were quite dramatic, there was always something...something "fun" about it and something innocent...but now, there's no traces of that whatsoever and I feel this final game, especially since you can clearly see their expressions, will be quite powerful even moreso than MGS2 and 3. I look forward to this game so much and I want it now...yet, I dread it at the same time because I don't know if my heart can take it.

And as for Spoiler: show Raiden, again yes, he was pretty darn cool and seeing how much he's "grown up" makes me really happy...but again, there's something very sad about him now seeing him this way...his eyes seems emotionless and has lost that "innocence" of MGS2 and like Otacon, my heart sank when he said "My turn to protect you Snake". I'm not complaining though. EDIT: Also, I wonder if Raiden's Japanese name meaning (thunder/lighting) will come into play in the game?
