a Summary of Reasons:
1: Because he's funny in 8-Bit Theater.
2: Because he's dark and Mysterious
3. Because a chose one at random
4. Because he's genuinely deep and interesting, and Dragoons rule!
5. Because he's a loveable old fart.
6. Because I like them all to much to choose (Shadow = Mysterious, Terra = Folorn without being to wet, Relm = a fiery mouthed little kid who kills with paintbrushes)
7. I like his outlook, his dreams and the coarse "unshaven" language and look.
8. Because she's fun and lively, without being annoying (perhaps because she doesn't have a squeaky "little girl" voice...)
9. Because she's one of the few girls who isn't even remotely girly, and she's a badass dragoon rat thingy.
10. Because he's head and shoulders above any of the rest of the cast.
Tactics: Because he looks innocent... He even orders Milk at the bar! A reasonable and flexible character, with an intriguing plot going around him, associated with his actions from all angles. (some of the female characters were pretty strong as well, they just didn't get any dialogue. Cid missed out for being a walking Gameshark Code.)
