Woah.. it worked without you getting my chipsets? I guess they resetted some things to the default...

The battles aren't really that hard. The demo takes place well into the game, where you should have a good idea about how to use the majic. Once you know how those battles are easy. I'll fine tweak the battles if I get more negative opinions about the battles.

About the levels, I see what you're sayign by how they look odd.. so what I did was totally change the chipsets, facesets, and sprites of the game. Now the people move more realistically and there's much more detail. Just about everything is handdrawn. I'll post some screens once things look more polished.
